Aphrodite,
Goddess of Love and Beauty, is the daughter of Zeus and Dione in The Iliad,
though most later poems have her emerging from the foam of the sea. She is
usually married to Hephaestus, the lame and
unattractive God of the Forge.
For this Aphrodite, full lips and half-lidded eyes are used to create an
exaggerated image of sensuality to reflect her historic sexual attractiveness to
both mortals and immortals. Her face is framed by the same
flowers that are said to bloom at her feet as she walks.
Flower headdress may vary depending on
availability of silk flowers. Please specify if you desire a specific "look" to
the headdress.
