Scapino, whose name is derived from 'scappare' (to flee or escape), is very much like a starling - swooping and pilfering, twittering and warbling, he flies off but never fails to return. Scapino is a member of the Brighella family of masks and this Scapino mask can also be painted in greens and used for women playing Brighella.
